BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT FOR LYNN E. CUNNINGHAM
Lynn E. Cunningham has served as the Rector of St. Thomas since June 1, 2005. He is a priest and an attorney. He was ordained in 1970, and served as a member of the adjunct clergy of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in downtown D.C. from 1987 until May 2005.
He has visited in the Dubois area since 1959, worked at the T Cross Ranch and Ring Lake Ranch, and served on the Ring Lake Ranch Board of Directors from 1998 until 2004.
He is a member of the D.C. bar and served as a Professor of Clinical Law at the George Washington University Law School where he has taught in the clinical program from 1996 until retiring as Professor Emeritus of Clinical Law in May, 2005. He also taught courses in Housing Rights Law and affordable housing issues. He has assisted in the handling of several impact cases involving poverty issues in D.C.
He served as the Vice Chairman of the governing Board of Commissioners of the D.C. Housing Authority from 2000 to May, 2005.
He graduated from Cornell University in 1966, Union Theological Seminary in 1969, and Columbia Law School in 1972.
